F.A.Q.

Can you do my (insert thing you need here) for no charge?
Unfortunately, no. The only service I offer for free is reading your script and providing basic feedback at a personal meeting.
Even if you really believe in my project? Even if I offer a credit?
Even if I really believe in your project. The best way to save you money is to offer a credit, my rates will usually be lower if you do offer credit. The better the credit, the lower the rate. But I cannot eliminate the rate entirely, any more than I can ask my landlord to waive rent this month. Hope you understand.
Will you travel to meet with me?
Certainly. We can discuss how the expenses will be handled.
You dress differently than most of the writers I know. Is there a reason for that?
People who rise to the top in this business understand that it's exactly that: a business, first and foremost. I don't buy the idea that being professional makes you uncreative.
Does being a producer, and having a producer's attitude toward writing, limit you from a creative standpoint?
That's a fair question, but the answer is no. Film, like any creative business, is about finding a balance in an inherently unstable place: the borderland between the commercial and the artistic. The very best of the best in this business not only accept the instability; they embrace it. As a writer, and as a producer, I choose to embrace it.
I don't live in Los Angeles. What can we do?
I'll meet you where you are. See the travel question. We'll discuss how to handle the expenses.
What are your favorite films?
The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, Aliens, The Last Samurai, and How to Train Your Dragon
How can I read something you've written?
Get in touch with me! I consider myself a fairly open guy; leaving unproduced material available for free download on the Web would not be a good idea in today's world, but if you are a serious professional and would like to have a look at some previous work in order to feel more comfortable about an agreement, I have no problem showing you things I've done.

Got an idea for a movie? Got a script you've been wanting to write forever? Got a script finished that you can't get funding for?

Hi, I'm Ben Wiggins, and I'm lucky enough to call myself a professional screenwriter and film producer. It's my belief that many of you out there, from film students to people in other industries and even on to old Hollywood pros, have great ideas for movies. If you've got one that you think is a winner, look no further. I make it my business to get your brainstorms to the screen.

Professionalism is vital in this industry, and I bring both professionalism and extensive experience as a writer and assistant director of independent films both big and small. I have also been fortunate enough to line produce and produce several small projects during my time in Los Angeles.

So, if you're itching to finally see that wonderful idea in the theater, remember one name. Ben Wiggins. Making Your Ideas Reality.
